TROON VINEYARD is located in the heart of the Applegate Valley AVA, the southernmost appellation in Oregon. Situated halfway between Grants Pass and Jacksonville, Troon Vineyard is one of the Applegate Valley Wine Trail’s most popular winery destinations. One of the first grape growers in Southern Oregon, and home to the region’s earliest planting of Zinfandel in 1972, Troon now grows ten additional varietals on 25+ planted acres including, their award-winning white varietal, Vermentino and the exceptional red varieties, Malbec and Tannat, along with Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Tempranillo.

Troon Vineyard also produces several unique blends, including Southern Oregon’s most-popular red wine blend, “Druid’s Fluid.” With a beautiful tasting room, covered stone patio, and grassy picnic area featuring bocce ball courts and life-sized chess, there’s always plenty to discover and enjoy. This April, Troon introduces a guided vineyard and winery tour, “The Grape Expedition Tour.” From April through summer and harvest season, tours are held Friday-Sunday at noon, 2pm and 4pm, offering a full behind-the-scenes look at the winemaking process and an introduction to the history of the Applegate Valley wine region and the story of Dick Troon, the man who first planted the vines in 1972.
