“Yes, We Can” – Quady North Releases Southern Oregon’s First Canned Wine
Local Winery recognizes growth of canned wine sector by putting one of its most popular wines in 250 mL cans.
Jacksonville— 8/8/18 — Quady North has long been a proponent of “alternative packaging”, offering wines in several formats, including 5 gallon kegs and 3L bags. Now, they’ve entered the canned wine sector, releasing their coveted Rose’ in 250 mL cans.
“We believe that the enjoyment of our Rose’ shouldn’t be limited by the restrictions of its container,” said Herb Quady, President. “Southern Oregonians love wine, and they love traveling and the outdoors. Small cans are a perfect way to enjoy Rose’ because they can be easily taken camping, to the beach, or to outdoor events like Britt.”
Local market is excited about the new format
Canned wines are already quite popular, with several other Oregon wineries distributing wines in cans. However, so far, no local wineries have offered wines in this new format. Retailers and consumers, who already love Quady North’s Rose’, are excited about offering such a well-known wine in this new format.
“We’re seeing a lot of interest.” said Darius Price, Sales Manager. “This is the same wine that people are already enjoying in bottles, so they’re more likely to try it in this new format, even if they wouldn’t otherwise try a wine in a can.”
Product Availability
So far, the cans are available at Quady North’s Jacksonville tasting room, Old 99 wine shop, Cartwright’s of Medford, and the Medford Food Co-op, with more locations coming on line soon.
